Chiropractic Care and Headaches?
migraine headache

We all experience headaches from time to time, but if you find yourself taking pain relievers on a regular basis, it might be time to stop ignoring the pain.

Research has shown that chiropractic care can help those with not only tension headaches, but migraine headaches as well. While some headaches are serious and signs of an underlying problem, the majority of headaches are associated with muscle tension and nerve irritation in the neck.

Finding triggers can be crucial to helping control your headache.  I have created a headache log you can print to keep track. Just click here

 Some common triggers for headaches.
1. Poor posture
Hunching over at a desk all day is not good for your health. The muscles in your shoulders and back of your neck tend to get tight and tense when sitting.
2. Foods
Many times headaches can be triggered by certain foods. I often recommend keeping a daily log or diary of some key factors.
3. Stress
Making time for yourself sounds like a simple concept, but very few people actually follow through. You will always have stress in your life, so whether you choose yoga or a boxing class, relieving stress and tension has a big impact on your health.
4. Dehydration
One of the first signs of dehydration is headaches, so make sure you are drinking plenty of water.
Pain is a way of your body letting you know that something is wrong. Ignoring pain is a silly thing to do. Have questions or concerns about chiropractic care and headaches? Just ask, I’m always happy to answer your questions.

Thank you for reading. If you have questions or a topic you would like to me to address, just ask!
